Roger Dale Davies passed away in his sleep on March 19th, 2024 in Magrath, Alberta at the age of 66 years. He is survived by his wife Shauna and their daughters Aubrey (Deric) Olsen, Ashley Clifton, Alyssa (Riley) Erickson, Amelia McMurdo, Ali (Justice) Pilgrim, and Adrien Davies. They have been blessed with 22 grandchildren: Mailei, Megan, Jalen, Mercedes, Bryson, Izaac, Laci, Madacyn, Austyn, Cloe, CoraLynn, Brigham, Drayden, Matthew, Alexander, Avarielle, Preston, Adalynn, Alia, Estelle, Ezra, Renner; and 2 great-grandchildren: Hudson and Hadley.

Roger was born in Calgary, Alberta on October 22nd, 1957 to Dale and Elizabeth Davies. He was the oldest of five children (Roger, Randy, Laurel, Greg, Leanne). He attended school in Calgary until they moved to Magrath for his last two years of highschool. He served two years for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Canada, Montreal French speaking mission. Shortly after returning, he proposed to Shauna Harrison and they got married June 2nd, 1979. They moved to Edmonton where they raised four fair daughters. In 1993 they moved to Magrath and added two more daughters to the family.

Roger loved to help others. He enjoyed every calling he had in the church. He had a fondness for music and sang in every choir he could. Roger started a computer company, Soft Serve Direct, fixing computers in town. Later he worked at the Magrath Pharmacy as pharmacy manager. He served in the Lions Club where they built two playgrounds in town. When he saw a need in the community, he was there. He always had a project on the go, whether at home or in the community.

Those who knew Roger laughed at his dad jokes, saw his Santa smile, and felt his love through service. He was loyal, determined, hardworking, and he loved his family. We will miss him.

The Funeral will be held at the Magrath Stake Centre on March 30th, 2024 at 11:00am. Friends are welcome to meet with the family from 10:00-10:45am prior to the service at the church.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday March 30, 2024 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, MAGRATH STAKE CENTRE (21 E 1 Ave S, Magrath AB).

Friends are welcome to meet with the family from 10:00 to 10:45am prior to the service at the church.
