Carla Kanashiro Obituary

Carla Jean Kanashiro passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday March 6, 2024 at the age of 58.

Born in Lethbridge in 1965 to Jim and Minako Kanashiro, Carla leaves to mourn her passing several siblings, nieces, nephews and numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was predeceased by her father Jim Kanashiro, mother Minako (Min) Kanashiro, and sister Gwen Kanashiro.

Carla's family are extremely grateful for the compassionate care she received at Chinook Regional Hospital. Thanks to the dedicated nurses and physicians on unit 4A, as well as the palliative care team.

Carla was a talented baker, and devoted much of her life to caring for family, especially her grand-nieces and grand-nephews, who loved her dearly.

At Carla's request there will not be a funeral service. Flowers and Koden are gratefully declined. For those who wish, donations can be made in memory of Carla to the Caring Hearts Tribute Fund at crhfoundation.ca
